Audio Mastering Service Options and Rates

Tracks can be uploaded online and will be returned electronically. Gold and mp3 master CDs can be purchased for an additional charge, as indicated below. Rates are listed according to service timeline. Additional charge for tracks over 5 minutes in length.

• STANDARD: typical 5-12 business day completion = $30 per track
  Optional shipped Master CD package = $20
  (Add $5 for each additional minute over the 5 minute maximum.)
• RUSH: 2-3 business day guaranteed completion = $45 per track
  Optional shipped Master CD package = $40
  (Add $10 for each additional minute over the 5 minute maximum.)
• URGENT: 1 business day guaranteed completion = $60 per track
  Optional shipped Master CD package = $50
  (Add $15 for each additional minute over the 5 minute maximum.)

On occasion, the need arises to have a separately mastered version of a track or full album that is simply a variation of the same material we are mastering or have already mastered for you. Examples of variation mastering may include: a performance version album of your full album, an instrumental version of your full track, a radio-friendly version of a track containing explicit material, remix versions of previously mastered tracks, etc. Discounted rates for mastering variation tracks or albums are available as follows (Standard timeline only - call for rush service pricing):

• PER TRACK: $20 per variation track (up to 5 minutes).
• PER ALBUM: $199 per variation album (up to 20 tracks, 80 minutes).
• BEAT and A CAPPELLA MASTERING*: $70 per track or $697 per album.
  (*Price includes 3 independently mastered tracks/albums - beat tracks, a cappella tracks, and full mixes.)

Crazy Daisy offers discounted rates for mastering multiple CDs as part of a single service order. These CDs may be mastered as part of a multi-CD set or as separate, distinct albums. Rates are provided for Standard timeline only (call for rush pricing).

• One full CD mastering (up to 20 tracks, 80 minutes)= $349.
• Two CD mastering (up to 40 tracks, 160 minutes) = $598.
• Three CD mastering (up to 60 tracks, 240 minutes) = $827.

An option that can be added to your CD mastering service is to have a Crazy Daisy mix engineer review your mixes and provide you a technical feedback report prior to mastering. Click here to see a sample mix analysis report. After reading the feedback report you may decide to refine your mixes, if necessary, and provide us with any updated tracks to use for mastering. For this service, simply provide us with a single stereo .wav or .aiff mixdown audio file for each song just as you would for any audio mastering service.

• Cost is $5 per track (up to 5 minutes) when added to any mastering service.

This option allows the mastering engineer greater flexibility and freedom to adjust EQ and levels of the vocals separately from the instrumentation, to increase potential for the best possible sound results. For this service, provide Crazy Daisy with one stereo .wav or .aiff mixdown audio file with all vocal parts and one file with all instrumental parts for each song. • Cost is $10 per track when added to any mastering service (for tracks up to 5 minutes in length).
• If you want separately mastered tracks for the instrumental and vocal versions in addition to the combined full track master, add $40 per track or $199 for a full album (up to 20 tracks, 80 minutes). See Variation Mastering details above.

If you would like to have another mix engineer touch-up your mix to help optimize it for best possible mastering results, then this option is the way to go. Crazy Daisy offers Touch-Up Mixing services as an optional add-on to your mastering project. You can provide us with up to 6 stereo stems (separated parts) per song. • Cost is $20 per track when added to any mastering service (for tracks up to 5 minutes in length).
• Contact us for details and pricing for tracks longer than 5 minutes, to provide more than 6 parts (stems) per song, or if you want to send us the mix session instead of stem mixdowns.

Crazy Daisy Productions provides audio restoration and remastering services to improve sound quality of previously recorded and mastered tracks. Digital audio files (i.e., WAV, AIF, or MP3), cassette tape, or DAT tape submissions are accepted. For vinyl or reel-to-reel transfers, please transfer to digital locally and send us the digital files. Rates for our Audio Restoration Services are provided below.

• See our regular Full Album or Single Track Mastering Rates above. Same per track and per album rates apply.
• Additional $20 fee to transfer audio from cassette or DAT tape.

Editing covers a wide variety of topics including: censoring vocals to create radio-friendly tracks, cutting and splicing together track arrangements to create different versions (such as additional choruses, exchanged verses or shortened endings), replacing sections of tracks with parts from other mixes, mixing in additional material during mastering, and many other sound adjustments. Some of these adjustments can be made for free during mastering. Other more extensive edits may require a small additional charge.
